Zoraida Bennett earned an undergraduate degree in Spanish Literature at Columbia University, and a Master of Science in Education from Lehman College of New York. She was named “Bronx Rookie Teacher of the Year” in 1990 and has taught all grade levels in all subjects, escience, at brick and mortar schools as well as homeschool co-ops. She served as a Kindergarten mentor and unit supervisor of the early childhood division in her school in the Bronx. She taught remediation Math and Reading classes to At-Risk middle schoolers and ESL to non-English speaking students in grades K-8th. ZORAIDA BENNETT IS A NCSU PRINCIPAL FELLLOW
The North Carolina State University (NCSU) Principal Fellows program is an all Principal Fellows cohort program that prepares school leaders to work in North Carolina public schools. The program includes a merit-based scholarship loan while the Fellow completes the Master’s of School Administration program at NC State. The program involves a year of academics and a year of full-time administrative internship. Upon completion of the two-year Principal Fellows program, Fellows will be prepared to lead North Carolina Schools. NCSU Principal Fellows Class 26 began the program Summer 2019 and will graduate in May 2021.
